Use metal cleaners because pay attention to these

In the maintenance and repair of machining and mechanical equipment, automobiles, etc., diesel, kerosene or gasoline are mostly used as cleaning fluids to clean parts. This is not only a waste of energy, but also has potential unsafe factors, and a little carelessness may lead to a fire. In recent years, a new type of metal cleaning agent has gradually been widely used. It can well replace diesel oil, kerosene and gasoline to clean parts. It is cheap and safe to use, and is very suitable for mechanized cleaning operations.


      Metal cleaning agents are composed of surfactants and added cleaning aids (such as alkaline salts), rust inhibitors, defoaming agents, and fragrances. There are several types of surfactants as the main ingredient. The domestic ones are mainly non-ionic surfactants, including ether, ester, amide, polyether, etc., which have strong decontamination ability.


When choosing a metal cleaning agent, the following matters should be paid attention to.


      a. Pay attention to the type and nature of the dirt on the parts. The types and properties of dirt on auto parts vary greatly, including solid-phase oil such as sludge, scale, carbon deposits, and rust, and liquid-phase oil such as residues of lubricating oil and grease. Scale and rust are usually removed with descaling cleaning agent; other oil stains, grease, etc. can be cleaned with heavy oil stain cleaning agent.


      b. Prevent parts from being corroded. For copper, lead, zinc and other easily corroded parts and precision instruments, instrument parts, etc., it is necessary to use a cleaning agent that is close to neutral, less corrosive and has strong rust resistance.


      c. Consider cleaning conditions. If there is steam heating condition, high temperature cleaning agent can be used. When manual cleaning is the main method or the parts to be cleaned are not suitable for heating, low-temperature cleaning agents are used. When using mechanical cleaning and pressure spraying, use a low-foaming cleaning agent.


      d. Pay attention to the concentration of the cleaning agent. The concentration of the cleaning agent has a great relationship with the cleaning effect. Generally, with the increase of the concentration, the decontamination ability is correspondingly enhanced, but after reaching a certain concentration, the decontamination ability is no longer significantly improved. Generally, the concentration should be controlled at 3%-5%. If the decontamination effect of the cleaning agent concentration prepared according to the product instruction manual is not satisfactory, the concentration of the cleaning agent should not be increased, and another cleaning agent with other formulas should be selected.


      e. To master the temperature of the cleaning agent. Under normal circumstances, as the temperature of the cleaning agent increases, its decontamination ability also increases, but after a certain temperature, the decontamination ability decreases. Therefore, each cleaning agent has a suitable temperature range, and the higher the temperature, the better. Especially for non-ionic cleaning agents, when heated to a certain temperature, the cleaning agent will appear turbid, the temperature at this time is called "cloud point", the solubility of the active agent in water decreases, and some components are decomposed due to heating and lose their effect. , the decontamination ability is reduced. Therefore, the temperature of the non-ionic cleaning agent should be controlled below the cloud point.


      f. Master the use time of the cleaning agent. The cleaning agent prepared once can be used multiple times, and its use time mainly depends on the number of cleaning parts and the degree of contamination of the cleaning agent. In general, the cleaning agent prepared once can be used continuously for 1 to 2 weeks. In order to save the amount of cleaning agent and improve the cleaning quality, the cleaning sequence should be reasonably arranged according to the characteristics of the parts. For example, wash the main parts and the less dirty parts first; then wash the secondary parts and the dirty parts, which can prolong the use time of the cleaning agent.
