Detailed explanation of stainless steel electrolytic polishing process

Electrolytic polishing process:

       1. Recommended process: (degreasing and rust removal activation→water washing→air drying)→electropolishing→water washing→passivation→water washing→neutralization→water washing;

       2. The original solution is used, the lead plate is used as the cathode (negative electrode), the stainless steel workpiece is used as the anode (positive electrode), the temperature is 60-65 degrees, the current density is 10-25 amperes/square decimeter, the voltage is 8-10 volts, and the electrolysis time is 5- 8 minutes. (It can be soaked for 5-40 minutes according to different requirements of users)

Precautions:

       1. The polishing liquid will produce foam at the beginning of its use, so the distance between the liquid surface of the polishing liquid and the top of the polishing tank should not be greater than 15cm;

       2. The water remaining on the surface of the workpiece should be removed as much as possible before the stainless steel workpiece enters the polishing tank. Excessive water entrained in the workpiece may cause pitting on the polishing surface and local corrosion, resulting in the workpiece being scrapped;

       3. In the process of electrolytic polishing, the stainless steel parts used as anodes are continuously converted into metal ions and dissolved in the polishing liquid because the iron and chromium elements contained in them are not deposited on the surface of the cathode. With the progress of the chemical reaction, the concentration of metal ions will continue to increase. When a certain concentration is reached, these metal ions are precipitated from the polishing liquid in the form of phosphate and sulfate, and settle at the bottom of the polishing tank. Therefore, the polishing liquid must be regularly filtered to remove these solid precipitates;

       4. During the reaction process of the polishing tank, in addition to the continuous consumption of phosphoric acid and sulfuric acid, water is lost due to evaporation and electrolysis. In addition, the high-viscosity polishing liquid is continuously entrained and lost by the workpiece, and the liquid level of the polishing liquid continues to drop. It is necessary to replenish the polishing tank frequently. Add polishing liquid and water;

       5. The neutralization of this product meets today's requirements
